The Santa Maria Valley Youth & Family Center commemorated its 50th Anniversary Sunday with a family festival at Machado Plaza in Santa Maria. Families enjoyed live entertainment, food, games, face painting, and resources. Since 1973, SMVYFC has provided mental health counseling, family support services, and outreach programs to over 12,000 individuals annually.
