Senior Services
It’s no secret that our senior population is growing and changing. Many seniors have adult children at home, are raising grandchildren, or caring for their elderly parents. Marital discord, financial woes, depression, isolation, loneliness and unresolved life issues are just some of the challenges older adults face.
Family Service Agency offers older adults the tools they need to live meaningful, independent and healthy lives; providing them with the support they need to age comfortably and safely in the comfort of their own home for as long as possible. Our services are free to those who are 60 years and older, or are caring for someone who is.
Our Senior Mental Health services provide counseling for individuals, families and couples with an emphasis on direct evidence-based, solution-oriented treatment strategies and well-defined therapeutic goals. Services are offered in English and Spanish.
FSA’s Caregiver Mental Health & Support services help people caring for loved ones recognize, embrace and manage their role as an unpaid caregiver through individual, family, and/or group counseling.
PEARLS is an evidence-based coaching program that teaches skills to manage difficult feelings and improve quality of life, empowering individuals with the tools they need to thrive. PEARLS is free for older adults (age 60+) living in Santa Barbara County.
We provide Case Management for Elder Victims of Abuse in coordination with legal assistance from the Legal Aid Foundation.
Our Long Term Care Ombudsman advocate for residents living in long-term care residential facilities.
FSA’s Senior Case Management Program helps older adults connect with the resources they need to live safely, independently, and comfortably in their own home or community.
FSA also produces the Senior Expo of Santa Barbara, the largest annual health fair for older adults in Santa Barbara County.
