Office-Based Mental Health Counseling

FSA provides a wide array of mental health counseling services that result in positive, long-term improvements for overall quality of life, decreasing the likelihood of high-risk behaviors, and for students, improving academic success. Counseling services in our Youth and Family Behavioral Health Clinics are provided by licensed therapists and pre-licensed clinicians supervised by experienced licensed therapists.

Individual, couples or family counseling is available for children as young as 5 through adults age 59 in our South County and Lompoc offices while Santa Maria Valley Youth and Family Center focuses counseling services primarily for those ages 5-21. Our clinicians work with clients to address the goals clients (and their caregivers) have for themselves, utilizing a variety of well-established clinical interventions.

Some FSA clinicians are credentialed to provide children, youth, and adults who are Medi-Cal beneficiaries with mental health therapy addressing such issues as anxiety and depression.

Sliding Fee Scale. No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay, and a discounted/sliding fee schedule is available based on family size and income (adjusted down for rent/mortgage).

Mental Health Navigation Services. Accessing appropriate mental health care can be challenging. Our Mental Health Navigation Services are designed to assist those seeking services to understand the different forms of mental health treatment and to eliminate barriers to accessing appropriate care.
