Get it Done SB! will be hosting a free ACP workshop at Carpinteria Women’s Club October 14th & 21st from 4:00pm-5:30pm. Advance Care Planning allows you to complete an important legal form (Advance Directive) that helps your medical team and loved ones know and respect your health care decisions in the event you have a medical emergency or are seriously ill and cannot speak for yourself.
Get it Done SB! offers a two part workshop to help individuals complete their Advance Directive. During part 1, trained volunteers will review the importance of an Advance Directive, answer individual questions, and provide insights into how to think about your future medical care. Part 2 invites all attendees that participated in Part 1 to review, complete and notarize their MyCare document (Advance Directive). A notary will be present during Part 2 of the workshop series to legalize the document, free of charge to all participants by appointment only. Individuals who only need to update their documents, are welcome to attend Part 2 only but an appointment is still required.
*A free notary will be available for Advance Care Planning documents only.
