Youth Drug & Alcohol Treatment

The mission of the Drug & Alcohol Treatment program is to help and strengthen adolescents and their families on “the road to recovery” from substance abuse problems through supportive services. These services include counseling, treatment, training, groups, and interventions provided at our Santa Maria clinic, or Santa Maria Juvenile Hall. Gender specific and age appropriate developmental services are offered to all adolescents from the ages of 13 to 17 who live in Santa Barbara County. The teens must express a desire for help with their alcohol and/or drug problems.

The Santa Maria Valley Youth and Family Center’s Drug & Alcohol program has enjoyed great success since its inception in 2002. Adolescents have committed themselves to changing their lifestyles and have learned the tools to remain clean and sober. The adolescents have also committed themselves in continued education by graduating from high school and enrolling in college.
