Family Service Agency is pleased to announce that Sandy Nordahl  and Carmen Galzerano will serve as Co-Chairs for the 6th Annual Cooking Up Dreams, a “delicious” benefit.  Hutton Parker Foundation, a longtime supporter of FSA, will serve as Honorary Chair. Cooking Up Dreams is scheduled for April 17, from 6 to 10 p.m., at the Rincon Beach Club in Carpinteria.

Sandy Nordahl has been a communications professional for 30 years and was most recently Director of Marketing and Communications for Chicago-based JLL, a global real estate firm. A Detroit native and Michigan State University graduate, Sandy was named Santa Barbara County’s Big Sister of the Year in 2016. She currently serves on FSA’s Development Committee, and is an avid tennis player, traveler, and Spanish language student.

Carmen Galzerano joined the FSA Cooking Up Dreams event committee through her involvement as a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Santa Barbara County. She cherishes the opportunity to give back to the community that has given her so much. Her profession is helping locals buy and sell homes as a Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties. She is both a SBCC and UCSB graduate, an avid world traveler, and loves anything active outdoors.

Serving the Santa Barbara community for 25 years, Hutton Parker Foundation focuses on organizational sustainability for community-based nonprofit organizations throughout Santa Barbara County and assists agencies in achieving their highest level of performance and delivery of services resulting in stronger, more efficient communities for all.

Cooking Up Dreams is a unique fundraising event featuring a culinary competition between leading local chefs.  Well-known local chefs will compete for the Judges’ Choice and People’s Choice Awards. This year’s event includes entertainment by Tina Schlieske and the Graceland Exiles and Sister Laura.
