Family Support Services, a program of Family Service Agency, helps parents become better equipped so they can build healthy home environments and overcome major sources of toxic stress such as poverty, violence, mental illness and substance abuse.
Our services empower families along the path to self-sufficiency and connect them to resources such as healthcare, food, shelter, child care and education. These services are offered at FSA’s Family Resource Centers in the community.
Parenting classes and workshops (including our Nurturing Parent Program) teach positive parenting skills using evidenced-based curriculums that feature home practice exercises, family nurturing time, and activities to promote positive brain development in children.
Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting services provide assistance in the home where Child Development Specialists offer education, developmental screenings, referrals, and introduce activities to support school readiness.
Thanks to generous community support, our services are provided free of charge.
